Founding Mothers along with Alpha Classive young ladies congregated in the Spring of 1998 with the goal of establishing a sisterhood that encircled one main virtue: BALANCE. Finally, after months and months of collaboration and long night meetings, the Constitution was born and the Creed found its way into the heart of the newly formed sisterhood of Delta Phi Gamma. Needless to say, many obstacles had to be overcome to finalize the establishment of this organization. Fellow friends as well as other organizations during the time refused to recognize nor support the newly found sisterhood. Many words were spoken and many actions were taken deliberately to diminish the credibility and dignity of the organization as well as the "fore-mothers" that stood behind it. Despite the negativity inflicted on the organization, the Founding Mothers continued to stand strong with great faith that "good" will triumph over "evil," just as long as their intentions remained good.

hat exactly were their intentions? The Founding Mothers wanted to educate young women about maintaining their mental, physical, and emotional health. In doing so, they stressed the importance of balancing, challenging, and strengthening the Mind, Body, and Soul of each individual. In addition, they wanted to build a strong sisterhood that will provide a solid foundation for these young ladies, during their journey to achieving that ultimate goal set by the organization.

he vision of the Founding Mothers (Elynita "Iza" Arella, Eliza Cambay, Ellaine Loreto, Tiffany Nguyen, Anne-Marie Perez) was finally captured in the Fall of 1998. The first class made of fourteen bright ladies, better known as Alpha Class crossed over in the year 1999. Followed by the addition of twenty-two strong ladies the following year in 2000, when Beta Class crossed over. Gamma Class established their mark in 2001 with five bold ladies. In 2002, another set of twenty-two unique ladies came together to be known as Delta Class. After welcoming eight energetic ladies of Epsilon Class in 2003, we commemorated the 5th Year Anniversary of Delta Phi Gamma. During 2004, at the end of our sixth year as an organization, we celebrated the crossing of the six diverse ladies of Zeta Class into our sisterhood. The growth of our organization continued as we welcomed the fourteen enthusiastic sisters of Eta Class into our organization in 2005. After a strong year of learning and growth in 2006, Delta Phi Gamma crossed eighteen passionate ladies known as Theta Class into our sisterhood. As we begin to forge a sisterhood with a new generation of strong women, we strive to stay true to our roots and always remember the struggle of our founding mothers to create the sisterhood we cherish, while making a constant change for the better.
